The road to HOY - it was not meant to be this year

The road to HOY - it was not meant to be this year

I started this season back in September 2020 with the goal of qualifying and competing at Horse of the Year in March 2021. We had one warm up show before the first Premier League show of the season. It is at the Premier League shows that one can post a Horse of the Year qualifying score. And that is just what we managed to do in our very first test! Equine sacroiliac problems

Equine sacroiliac problems

I spent a bit of time thinking about what I wanted to create as I didn't want to have to place the shoes with the ends pointing downwards - all of the luck runs out that way!! I did some googling and decided I would make a horse shoe Christmas tree!...

Show number two!

Show number two!

Hi everyone! You may have read my last blog post about our first championship show of the season. Well, the very next weekend we attended our second! This one was Bay of Plenty Dressage Championships held at the National Equestrian Centre. It was held over three days, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (which was a public holiday - Queens birthday). Pre Show Drama As to be expected with Astro and I, there was a bit of drama. If you follow us on Instagram you may be aware that things don't often go smoothly for us haha. After our show at Manfield I...
